Breakfast Talk - Smart marketing

Written by: Ann Teoh

Every man on the street wants to know how to get a profit of say, a minimum of 20% for an investment he has made, either in business, or taking risks in the stock markets, mutual funds, invest in gold or in hedge funding – all with an element of risk. Who wouldn’t want a high ROI (Return on Investment) with minimum risks? Perhaps one has to diversify the business portfolio to do that, or is there a strategy which we are ignorant of? How could we find out more? Perhaps, pay to attend a seminar and learn from some management guru?

Well, I was quite delighted to learn that KDU University College was arranging such a talk by a very experienced Marketing Director, Mr. Gabriel Dukes, who had been in the field of sales and marketing with big names like Scitex, Kodak, Hewlett Packard and more.

Mr Gabriel Dukes, "The world has changed, with technology. What about you?"

Justify FullSo off I went to this first-ever Breakfast Talk at KDU. What an early hour – 7.30am! Yet, when I reached the venue, at Prestige 1, there were over 25 people already seated, giving all their attention to Ms Vernalisa Hendroff, who had organised this talk.

Some of the early birds at Prestige 1 ...

I was hoping for a coffee to start off …. sigh… that had to wait till the end of the talk. Oh well, back to the direction of how to earn that envied high ROI.

Mr. Gabriel Dukes, the Marketing Director of Protect Print, Runway and Smart Solutions, compassed us that secret direction - which was smart marketing using multi-channels. You’ll need to integrate social media, direct mail, smart phones and embrace the age of digital vouchers to be successful.

“It’s the lowest form of investment, with the highest ROI. This fully-integrated application has proven to be the leader in marketing,” he advised, free-of-charge. (Yes, it was a FREE breakfast talk with aromatic coffee and delicious pastries thrown in).

The next question he posed was, “How can you improve highly anticipated response rate, without which, your communication with your customers would have been ineffective?” Gabriel shared this privy information with those who attended the talk. So, if you can’t read more here, I’m sorry, you’ll just have to come for the talk in future.

To find out more, just contact Vernalisa at telephone number: 03- 7953 6635. She’ll be pleased to let you know when the next scrumptious breakfast talk will be.
