The Leadership Journey

How can one determine if he or she has qualities fitting of a leader? How can one determine where their energy lies? Leadership skills is something that youths need to be exposed and trained into. Not only they will be the future of the nation, it would also guide them in the right bearing when faced with decision making situations.

KDU played its role as a guide in helping students uncover their leadership potential by hosting the Tune Insurance Industrial Talk at the institution’s iconic Utropolis Glenmarie Campus.


Held on 9th September, , this 2 hours session saw over 20 students from multiple programmes taking part this industrial talk. After a quick registration process at 3.30pm, the session then kicked off at a fast pace.

Essentially, the talk was beneficial in helping students learn more about the different types of diverse identity and abilities that can affect a group of people. References were made to several prominent business leaders and the startling difference in their personalities and approaches in leadership such as ., Mark Zuckerberg, Tony Fernandes, and other pioneers.

Furthermore, the talk also assisted the participating students to uncover something more profound about themselves and their natural leadership abilities that can be utilized to affect their every day situations. The students also participated in various exercises that aimed to help them enhance themselves to live up to their potential in being leaders. All in all, the industrial talk was aimed to empower students to utilize their potential and discover themselves while learning something new beyond what they can learn in the classrooms. It was also a great opportunity for them to network and make new friends. . The Tune Talk Industrial Talk also gave these students a look into being leaders in the future and about encountering a sure region of specialization.
