Mother's Day Special : Unconditional Love

By WONG SU-NING - University of Tasmania, Bachelor of Law

Being the youngest at home has always made me dear to my parents. My mum has the most unpredictable and unpleasant mood swings. Despite her anger at us, she has always been the greatest mum of all.

Even at times when she has less patience for us, she has been patient with my discourteous and impolite ways. I was rebellious and I was never close to my mum until recent years. I have decided to make the responsible decision and believe that I would not make the same mistake as I used to.

My dad is a business man who travels around the world and I respect and praise my mum because she could handle the toughest responsibility; being a housewife and an accountant and most of all, she could even handle long distance relationship and maintain the stability of this home and family. I can never imagine the strenuous attempt my mum has given to retain this amazing family I am blessed with.

There's no other place or people I would turn to because this will be the only place I know fondness and love, besides God. No one else has given me so much except this super-woman who never fails to stand by me when I am perturbed. My mum has always been there for me when I am sad or happy. I have survived a thousand cuts because my mum made me stand strong on my own feet and taught me faith, hope and life.

I will always love my mummy dearest.
