With KDU’s new tagline and belief “People Inspire People”, KDU is inspired to bless these bright students with quality education and make them a better person in the hope that they may one day, in return, inspire others.
One such student is Rabin Suguna Balan, one of the recipients of the prestigious Teo Soo Pin Scholarship (Full Tuition Fee Waiver) currently pursuing his A-Levels Programme.
“This scholarship means the world to me as it allows me to further my education and not have to worry about financial problems,” said Rabin who comes from a single-parent family with an average income.
He motivated fellow scholarship recipients by quoting Mahatma Gandhi that, “Satisfaction does not come with achievement, but with effort. Full effort is full victory.”
“The lecturers are motivators. They work hard to motivate us so we do better.
“By maintaining good results, we open the doors to many opportunities,” he said.
Another award recipient is Jolyn Tan Lay Shian who is currently pursuing her A-Levels, was awarded the Principal’s Scholarship.
Thanking KDU for trusting her and reducing the financial burden of her parents, she vowed to excel academically and to give her best to the college in all possible ways.
“The college has invested in us and our university career. Let us be the generation that Malaysians look up to. Let us be the people who inspire people. Let us make KDU a legacy,” she said enthusiastically. In her speech, she quoted George Elliot, saying, “Those who trust us educate us.”
The scholarship recipients are now pursuing either the pre-university or other ertiary programmes at KDU College.

I miss you all friend
