Teams battled among each other to moot their way to the Finals. They took the ultimate test in justifying, arguing and defending their points, stood their ground and made it this far. The preliminaries round saw 19 teams, passing through to the quarter finals with only 8 teams. However, only 2 teams made it to the Finals, which was "Team Justice League & Team Newbies".
The Finals took place at KDU University College, Section 13 campus, mooting room on 14th November 2011.
The moot was based on the law of tort, and in particular, medical negligence and the responsibility owed by doctors to patients and the public at large.

Ms.Jaclyn Choo (Senior Marketing Executive) presenting a trophy to Mohamed Aseel Hassan who won the title of "Best Individual Mooter". The trophy was sponsored by LexisNexis. As for the prize, LexisNexis will be offering Mohamed Aseel an opportunity to take up 14 days of Internship with LexisNexis in the Marketing Department at RM100 per day.
Should he wish to take it up – They will be rewarding him with RM1000 cash bonus.
Special guest judge for the Finals, Mr.Fork Yow Leong, who is the Legal Director from the International Committee of the Red Cross, Kuala Lumpur office.
So, which team made Champion?
The winning team goes to Team Justice League (comprising senior counsel Mohamed Aseel Hassan and junior counsel, Kathleen Tan Huey Lynn). Congratulations!
Congratulations to the runners-up, comprising senior counsel Janessa Lim Sieng Ying and junior counsel Pang Xing Ning!
The KDU Invictus Moot Club members also had a surprise gift for Ms.Lau Pin Lean (Academic Dept Head, Law) and Ms.Donna (Lecturer, Law) who both put in their efforts and supporting the Moot club along the way.
Mohamed Aseel Hassan sharing the joy in becoming champion. "I am feeling very ecstatic and was partially expecting this win. This is also a win to my country, back in Maldives." He said.
All in all, the top 2 teams (Law students) had passion and enthusiasm, bringing themselves all the way to the finals and made it this far. Kudos to the teams and may next year be a more fiery one! The KDU Moot Club did an excellent job in organizing this event, thus, bringing in more potential students to be the next great mooter.
