BOWLING EFFORTS STRIKE KDU!

Determine to win in the future:  Frances Tan Wu Jen, Kitty Lo Yi Yi, Michelle Liew Pei Sze, Brien Koh Bing Quan, Leon Liew De Yun and Teh Lit Qing (from left to right).

For over a year, the KDU bowling team members have remained active, consistent and largely unnoticed. But this year, things have changed.

Teh Lit Qing, Leon Liew De Yun and Michell Liew Pei Sze have made a huge impact on the KDU bowling club.  This can be seen in the clubs transformation from being initially founded to promote bowling as a social sport to its current state in having rigorous weekly trainings and competing in tournaments since March 2013.

The most recent competition in which they participated in was the Universiti Teknologi Mara (UITM) 2nd inaugural Sukan Institusi Pengajian Tinggi (SukIPT) on the 3rd February 2014 at Shah Alam. The KDU team comprised of 6 bowling players all of which were from the School of Business and Law.

Preparing for the Real World: Pursuit of Dreams

(Ahmad Fadzly: Advocating that tomorrow starts today.)

A young budding lawyer, Ahmad Fadzly Abdul Gani from Messrs Azmi and Fadzly, was a guest speaker for the Year 2 law students to present a talk on “Expectations in Legal Practice.” This talk was attended by 50 law students from both OBU 2+1 Twinning Programme and University of London (External Programme).

In his speech, Ahmad Fadzly has advocated that the law graduates nowadays must be ready to face the demands not only from the law firms, but also from the clients and the courts. In order to make sure that the law graduates are prepared to face the challenges posed by the real world, they must start improving their English language, communication skills, research skills, confidence level and the expectations in the legal practice.
