The inaugural group of Digi-KDU UC Co-operative Education Programme and winners of the Sales Challenge Prize Awards
On 17 November 2015, KDU University College and Digi Telecommunications officially launched an academic programme together for KDU’s Diploma in Business students entitled the Digi-KDU UC Co-operative Education Programme.
The ceremonial event held in conjunction with the official opening of the Digi Store located at the KDU University College, Utropolis Glenmarie campus and the graduation of the inaugural group of the programme through the Sales Challenge Prize Awards with a grand prize of RM3,000.
The purpose of this programme is for KDU to provide students with learning opportunities beyond the classroom walls; to also increase collaboration between the industry “Digi” and academia; and to apply classroom theories in real world situations for students’ learning, growth and personal development. The means by which to achieve this real life learning programme is to put students through a series of training modules such as Classroom Orientations, actual working experience at a Digi Retail Outlet, conducting a Group Sales Challenge, to name a few.
